New Westminster motorists will have to go outside the city to find any sort of relief at the pumps this weekend.
The cheapest price for fuel in New West has gone up to $2.05 per litre, as of this publication, April 5, according to GasBuddy.com (see list below).
The number, hosted by Centex and GOMarket on Ewen Avenue, is an uptick of five cents compared to $2 per litre from last Friday, March 29.
That's also six cents higher than the least expensive price for gas in all of Metro Vancouver — $1.99 per litre at Smart Gas on Canada Way in neighbouring Burnaby.
New West's average price for fuel has increased to $2.11 per litre.
Local motorists looking to find any other relief at the gas pumps will have to endure a long trip to the Okanagan or north central interior.
GasBuddy.com says $1.63 per litre is currently the cheapest price for fuel in all of B.C., located at the Costco in Kamloops (1675 Versatile Dr.).
