If you missed advance voting in New Westminster yesterday (Wednesday, Oct. 5), you still have two more chances to cast a ballot ahead of election day.
General voting day is on Saturday, Oct. 15. Voters will be electing a mayor, six councillors and seven school trustees.
The city’s election office has scheduled two additional advance voting opportunities.
- Saturday, Oct. 8 – the New Westminster Lawn Bowling Club, 710 Eighth St. in Moody Park.
- Wednesday, Oct. 12 – New Westminster City Hall and the New Westminster Lawn Bowling club).
Voting takes place from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Vote by mail deadline
To vote by mail in New Westminster, you must apply to receive a ballot by mail by Thursday, Oct. 6 at 4:30 p.m. Apply online at newwestcity.voterservices.ca or by calling 778-222-8602 to speak with election staff, or by calling 778-222-8602 or emailing 778-222-8602 to make an appointment with election staff. In order to be counted, mail-in ballots must be received by the city’s chief election officer by 9 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 15.
