Two local choirs are joining forces to present The Gift of Christmas this weekend. New Westminster's Amabilis Singers and the Lyric Singers women's choir from Surrey are offering up the concert on Saturday, Dec. 10 at 3 p.m. at Queens Avenue United Church and again on Sunday, Dec. 11 at 7: 30 p.m. at Shaughnessy Heights United Church in Vancouver.

The repertoire includes memorable Christmas music such as Mark Sirett's Thou Shalt Know Him, John Rutter's Christmas Lullaby and Stephen Hatfield's The Virgin Mary Had a Bay Boy, as well as many favourite carols and sing-alongs.

Amabilis is directed by Ramona Luengen, while the Lyric Singers are led by Nancy Rahn.

Queens Avenue United Church is at 529 Queens Ave. in New Westminster. Shaughnessy Heights United Church is at 1550 West 33rd Ave. in Vancouver.
