West Shore RCMP are investigating the theft of a flat-bed truck from a business compound in View Royal.

The white 2014 Dodge 3500 was stolen about 1:45 a.m. Nov. 8 from the compound at 1492 Admirals Rd.

Surveillance video shows a dark-coloured truck with a red roof pulling up in the area, before someone gets out and walks toward the compound.

A short time later, the Dodge truck is driven away and the other truck follows.

The dark-coloured truck is described as having a box that has a lighter colour than the rest of the vehicle.

The stolen truck is a four-door model with B.C. licence RL5548. It had a red tidy tank with a pump and RKM Crane Services decals on the driver and passenger doors that might have since been removed.

Police are asking anyone with information on the theft or who has dashcam video of the area from 1:30-2:30 a.m. on Nov. 8 to call West Shore RCMP at 250-474-2264 or report anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
