Paranormal Spectrum Investigations BC is a Metro Vancouver-based volunteer group dedicated to looking into the unexplainable. The team, established in 2019, is now made up of six people and is always looking for more members.
If you encounter a bizarre occurrence in your home or business, they will investigate the matter on-site and provide a detailed report of the findings, free of charge.
According to their website, the group will "exhaust every avenue when looking for logical reasoning to paranormal claims, and by using the latest investigative equipment anything [they] can't explain will be presented to you in a way that you can understand and handle emotionally, spiritually and psychologically."
One of the most important aspects of the group's work is maintaining a judgement-free zone so people can feel comfortable sharing their experiences.
Co-founder Mike Lutke says about 60 per cent of their observations don't have a logical explanation.
The crew takes the work seriously while managing to have some fun, but skeptics still remain.
Member Paige Wilson says, "I get a lot of people coming up to me with a lot of different opinions; it almost becomes an argument of them trying to convince me that what I'm doing is a waste of time."
While individual inspections have been put on hold during the pandemic, the group is eager to continue their investigations once restrictions have been lifted and they encourage anyone to get in touch if they have a potential case.
