Tell us about yourself:
So I grew up in Vancouver basically the blue collar side of the city, current reside in Burnaby working as Security Officer.
Describe your political experience – or your life experience that you think would make you a good member of Parliament?
Working as a security officer you deal with a lot of different situations, from unwanted individuals who are combative to problem-solving in attempts to figure out what and how something happened. These are traits that will allow me to be a good member of Parliament.
Why are you running in the 2021 federal election? What’s your Number 1 priority
I’m running for a position in the federal government because I’m not liking the way some politicians are governing. In The last couple of years we’ve seen more governing done through the Emergency Powers Act then through proper governance. The other thing is our health care systems need to be upgraded or rejuvenated to better help Canada’s populace. Hospitals are overcrowded, understaffed and overworked. Reports of staffing shortages at long-term care homes lead to many deaths in those facilities. In short, things need to change.
Wildfires, heat waves and other extreme weather conditions are indicative that climate change is underway. True or false? What would your party do to slow climate change, including reducing greenhouse gas emissions?
Slowing climate change isn’t going to be Canada alone. Until other nations do the same we will not see a change, and that is the problem. As for the heat wave and forest fires we had this year it is a known figure that every year we have a dry summer we have bad forest fires. Basically the People’s Party of Canada plans to remove Canada from the Paris Accord which are non-binding, eliminate programs that waste money and refocus those resources on promoting innovative technologies to help Canadians.
Has the federal government done enough to implement the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s 94 calls to action? What action would your party take to implement all of the calls to action – and when?
As far as the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, calls from 94 it is hard to say as these things are implemented at a slow pace and society change can’t be done overnight. The People's Party of Canada will continue taking steps towards mending the injustices of the past. That being said, we don’t want people to be trapped by their past as the past has no path to the future. The People’s Party of Canada wants all Canadians to be prosperous and proud of their heritage.
What steps should be taken to ensure Canada is prepared for future pandemics? Overall, how would you rate the federal government’s response to COVID-19?
I would have to quote Sir Francis Bacon when he said “knowledge is power”, and follow it up with 80s GI Joe Public Service catchPhrase “knowing is half the battle.” This means get Canadians the information they need to make the best choice for them. As for how the federal/provincial government has handled COVID-19, I would say it a dismal failure. The best way for me to describe what they have done is pray for a miracle drug to solve the problem. Forced mask mandates are a failure, the coming COVID-19 passport will be a failure.
What makes your party’s leader the right person to serve as prime minister?
Maxime Bernie is the right person for prime minister because he cares about Canadians and wants to do right by Canadians.
Do you have any hobbies?
I collect models kits and play games tabletop/computer.
