Three New Westminster schools saw back-to-back COVID-19 exposures last week.
The latest exposures listed on the Fraser Health school exposures website show that Lord Kelvin Elementary, Qayqayt Elementary and New Westminster Secondary have all seen new exposures right on the heels of previously reported cases.
Lord Kelvin saw an exposure May 12, 13 and 14, according to a letter sent to families May 19 and posted on the Fraser Health site May 20. That follows a previously reported case on May 10 and an exposure before that on May 4 and 5.
Qayqayt Elementary, meanwhile, also saw an exposure May 12, 13 and 14, as per a letter to families May 19, following on the heels of one reported May 10 and 11.
New Westminster Secondary School saw a new exposure reported May 12 and 13, following an earlier, separate notice regarding a May 12 exposure and one before that covering May 4, 5, 6 and 7.
Also new on the Fraser Health website today is the first case reported so far in connection with the academic night school classes offered through continuing education at NWSS. That exposure also occurred May 12.
