Two more New West elementary schools report COVID-19 exposures

Qayqayt Elementary School has received a COVID-19 exposure notice for April 14, 15 and 16. Richard McBride Elementary School also received a new notice this week for April 15 and 16.

Two New Westminster elementary schools are reporting more COVID-19 exposures.

Exposures at Richard McBride Elementary School and Qayqayt Elementary School are being reported on the Fraser Health school exposures site this morning.

It’s the third exposure since Easter weekend for Richard McBride, marking the sixth exposure since the Christmas break for the Sapperton school.

Qayqayt, meanwhile, has seen three reported exposures since the Christmas break.

In total, 10 of the district’s 12 schools have seen at least one exposure since the winter break. Lord Tweedsmuir Elementary hasn’t seen an exposure notice since December, while Connaught Heights Elementary is the single school in the district that has yet to report a COVID-19 exposure.
