Party: Independent
Profession: Small Business owner: Sea-Bright Builder Inc.
Political experience: I am a first time candidate and a second term MSRA (McBride-Sapperton Residents' Association) president.
Why are you running: There are 6 job openings calling for a candidate that cares about community, is capable of representing the best interests of citizens & business fairly, and is committed to seeing NW grow and prosper. I am that candidate.
Top three issues you want to work on:
* Traffic solutions now. More effective relationship with jurisdictional partners: removing tolling as route incentive, direct connection to Port Mann Bridge and truck route review. Creation of long term integrated regional traffic/transit plan.
* Managed development to insure compatibility with traffic/transit plan and provision of community amenities to support growing population. Protection of historic residential neighbourhoods.
* Lowering taxes. Increasing accountability and transparency at City Hall. Core review of budgeting, spending & procurement practices to insure citizens are getting best value for taxes paid.
