Afternoon crash leaves one person dead in Surrey

Police have not identified the person who died in the collision.

Police are looking for witnesses after a collision left one person dead on Oct. 27 2024 in Surrey.

A person is dead after a collision between a pedestrian and a vehicle in Surrey, B.C.

Police responded to a collision at 2:45 p.m. in the 7600 block of 128th Street on Oct. 27. 

One person died at the scene and police are investigating to determine what led to the fatal crash. 

Surrey RCMP’s criminal collision investigation team and the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruct Service (ICARS) are working on the incident. 

ICARS is responsible for the forensic reconstruction of collisions that result in serious injury or death between Pemberton and Boston Bar.

The investigation is in the early stages and police are looking for dash camera footage from the area. 

During its investigation, police closed a section of 128th Street for a significant amount of time on Sunday.
