Search and rescue members are looking for one person after a small boat flipped in Mission on Friday.
Just before 6:30 p.m. the small boat overturned in the area of Dewdney Bridge on the Nicomen Slough, east of Mission.
Two people were on the boat, and one of them was able to make it to shore.
“The other [person] is missing at this time,” says Cpl. Harrison Mohr with Mission RCMP.
Search and rescue efforts are underway as of 8:50 p.m. on Friday.
Mission Search and Rescue, firefighters, paramedics and RCMP officers are at the scene.
Nicomen Slough is known as a location for salmon and trout fishing.
