There's a new self-serve food option at the British Columbia Institute of Technology campus in Burnaby for those who don't want to wait in line for a hot meal.
G&A Robot has introduced its Grab and Go Bento box vending machine in BCIT's School of Business and Media building, which the company says offers convenient, high-quality and affordable meals.
“We are thrilled to partner with BCIT to bring our smart vending solution to campus,” said Steven Zhang, G&A Robot chief executive officer and founder, in a news release.
“Our mission is to make delicious and high-quality dining meals more accessible in high-traffic locations. We believe this partnership will greatly benefit the BCIT community by providing nutritious, on-the-go meal options.”
The company offers numerous options, including Italian, Chinese, South Asian, Halal and vegetarian cuisine.
The machine can service a hot meal in a minute and half, according to the company.
“These innovative machines allow us to offer these types of meals at all hours, especially during times where our other food units are closed. BCIT is exploring more options and are excited to be at forefront of these innovative ventures,” said Jordan Castillo, BCIT's manager of operations, revenue and corporate services, in the release.
