New West Farmers Market
Kick off the long weekend early at the New West Farmers Market where you’ll find all sorts of produce and prepared foods — just in time for Easter. The market also includes food trucks, artisans, live music, children’s activities, and more.

Gene Kelly: Hollywood’s Dashing Dance Auteur
Marvel at the moves of Gene Kelly when classic film scholar Michael Van Den Bos showcases some of his performances from classic movie musicals in his presentation: Hollywood’s Dashing Dance Auteur. Kelly was a dazzling dancer, but also an actor, singer, choreographer, and film director.

Cocktails and Conjuring
Get mesmerized by the magic of Alex Zander and Billy Hsueh at Cocktails and Conjuring. This event is held on the first and third Friday of each month.

Spring Salmon Eggs-travaganza

Saturday, April 19
New West Craft
Check out the offerings at New West Craft, a handmade market hosted by Arts New West. It features a selection of goods from designers, makers, crafters, artists, and small shop owners.

Brunch with Bunny
Hop up to Queen’s Park for an Easter Bunny Brunch and Family Fun Day, hosted by Ubuntu Celebrations. It includes a catered lunch (featuring a mix of American and African-inspired breakfast and lunch dishes and desserts), an egg hunt, entertainment, and family games and activities.
- When: Saturday, April 19, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Brunch is from 10:30 a.m. to noon, photos with the Easter Bunny are from noon to 1 p.m. Easter egg hunts will take place at 1:30 p.m. (ages three to five) and 2 p.m. (ages six and up)

- Details: Space is limited so you must register to participate in activities. It’s $80 for a family package (two adults and two children), or $40 for adults (15 years and up), $25 for children (five to 13 years), $15 for youngsters (two to four years), and free for infants (zero to one year). Photos with the Easter Bunny are $20 and Easter treat baskets can be pre-ordered for a fee.
WALK30 Walk – Queen’s Park and river views
Explore New Westminster during a free guided walk being hosted by Better Environmentally Sound Transportation as part of this year’s WALK30 Challenge. BEST’s 4.1-kilometre walk starts at Queen’s Park, goes to the Fraser River, passes through Glenbrook Ravine trails, and returns to Queen’s Park. It’s free and open to all ages; furry companions welcome.
