Acupuncture

A new acupuncture clinic recently opened downtown.

Gathered Roots community acupuncture is a "community-style" acupuncture clinic.

"Community-style acupuncture is a little different than your regular acupuncture clinic," said press release from Tara Akuna and Fiona Lampman from Gathered Roots. "The treatment area is an open-space concept with several reclining chairs for the patients to sit and be treated in. Don't worry, no one takes off their clothes! Only acupuncture points below the elbows and knees are used. Using this style of acupuncture allows us offer a sliding scale of $20 to $40 at treatment, whatever the patient feels he can afford. Making acupuncture more accessible to everyone in the community.

"We are truly passionate about creating a space where people want to gather and take an active role in their health," they wrote.
