Tech Day was a huge hit at the New Westminster Public Library.

About 300 people visited the library for the Sept. 24 event, where the library featured many of its electronic resources and services including:

* Ebook services: Library2Go from Overdrive, OneClick Digital, and Freading

* E-magazines from Zinio

* Streaming video via Instantflix

* Online language learning via Rocket Languages

*Genealogy research via Ancestry.ca

* Online video tutorials from Lynda.com

* Online research resources via EBSCO

New Westminster Public Library staff didn’t forget the younger folks, showcasing e-books for kids via Tumblebooks and holding a film-fest of Family-Friendly films, using Instantflix

Along with the library, London Drugs attended Tech Day to showcase a variety of electronic devices and to host a video games room, Douglas College showcased its 3D printer and PressDisplay vendors showcased the New Westminster Public Library’s online access to international newspapers and magazines.
