New Westminster citizens created art projects that were combined into a mosaic.

The Mural Mosaic created by hundreds of community members from New Westminster uniting over 80,000 Canadians from coast to coast for the Canada’s 150th anniversary will become part of a national book to celebrate one of the world’s largest collaborative murals ever created.

Over 400 community members painted the Canada 150 mosaic stylized train car to represent the community of New Westminster. The local mural actually connects to murals all across Canada from coast to coast including all provinces and the Northwest Territories to form a massive train painted by over 80,000 people.

New Westminster will be featured in this national publication as one of over 100 communities who joined in to create this art piece. Thousands of Canadians are still painting and will be continuing to do so up until September 2019.

The national project launched a Kick-starter campaign to see if Canadians would be interested in supporting a commemorative book about the project and in half the time allotted to fund the project Canadians spoke out and the book is now being published. The book should be available to the general public by Christmas 2019 and the community of New Westminster will be featured across Canada as a significant contributor to one of Canada’s greatest collaborative art pieces ever created.

You can pre-order the books and see videos of the project, the murals and all about the mural at www.Canada150Mosaic.com.
