Friday, Nov. 8
We’ll Meet Again
Listen to musicians and sing along to tunes that boosted morale and gave hope to folks during the First and Second World Wars at We’ll Meet Again. The concert includes songs and works of Dame Vera Lynn, Benny Goodman, Irving Berlin, Woody Hermann and The Andrews Sisters, Duke Ellington and more. Attendees can expect to hear songs like: Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, I’ll Be Seeing You, Don't Sit Under the Apple Tree, The White Cliffs of Dover, Lilli Marlene, We'll Meet Again, In the Mood, and many more.

This literary event features Jerena Tobiasen, Winona Kent, Shawn Gale, H.W. Bryce, Alan Girling, with host Alan Hill. Time-permitting, it will include an open mic session.

Write for Rights
Write a letter; change a life. That’s the idea behind Amnesty International’s annual Write for Rights campaign, which gives folks a chance to use their words to help transform the lives of people whose rights have been wronged, including people who’ve been harassed, threatened and jailed just for who they are, and activists and journalists who have been imprisoned. Amnesty International said it’s also an opportunity to put pressure on governments, leaders and decision-makers and “tell them the world is watching.”
