The Royal City Youth Ballet Company's Nutcracker production has long been a holiday favourite in New Westminster and beyond.
Now the group is offering an extra-special treat to get local audiences into the holiday spirit.
Royal City Youth Ballet is hosting A Nutcracker Tea on Sunday, Dec. 4 at La Perla Ballroom at River Market.
The tea will give people a chance to meet the dancers from the company's Nutcracker production and enjoy entertainment while taking part in a tea, fancy sandwiches and pastries.
The event will also include a visit from Santa Claus.
Tickets are $35 for adults or $25 for children 12 and under.

The company has already launched its annual Nutcracker tour this past weekend with shows at the Abbotsford Arts Centre on Saturday and at the ACT in Maple Ridge on Sunday.
It's now moving on to Surrey Arts Centre for shows on Dec. 9, 10 and 11, with Dec. 16 and 17 shows at the Cowichan Theatre in Duncan.
On Sunday, Dec. 18, the group returns home to the Massey Theatre for two shows, at 1 and 4:30 p.m., before winding up the tour at Centennial Theatre in North Vancouver on Monday, Dec. 19.
