Big Fight in Little Chinatown

Screening of Big Fight in Little Chinatown and a panel discussion after the film. Chinese subtitles will be provided. Tea and small snacks will be shared at this event hosted by Chinatown Together.

Soul/R&B/Hip-Hop Night

Soul/R&B/Hip-Hop Night features an evening showcasing some of B.C.’s best up-and-coming artists. Presented by BeatSoul Record and Purple Lining, this event has a licensed bar and is for ages 19 and up.

Century House winter sale

The Century House Association’s winter craft and bake sale features quilts, crafts, pottery and other items handmade by Century House members and activity groups.

Douglas College Fall Concert Series

Douglas College Fall Concert Series includes performances by Douglas College's Chorus and Chorale featuring Haydn’s Missa Sancti Nicolai and Bach’s Cantata 131 Aus der Tiefe. The program also includes choral works by Rachmaninoff, Mendelssohn, and contemporary arrangements of folk songs and carols.

An Afternoon With Authors

The Royal City Literary Arts Society presents an afternoon of fiction and poetry, with music, door prizes, a book market (a great place to pick up gifts for yourself or others), nibbles and an open mic. Tellers of Tales (1 p.m.) includes: Winona Kent; Jerena Tobiasen; Ruth Kozak; and Una Bruhns. Poetic Justice with Alan Hill (3 p.m.) features Herb Bryce and Franci Louann. Music by Catherine Booth.
