You have a couple more chances to catch international comedy legend John Cleese onstage right here in New Westminster.
The comedy star was originally set to appear at the House of Comedy on Columbia Street for four shows Oct. 25 through 28; now, shows have been added for Oct. 31 and Nov. 2.
The comedy club is promising "an intimate Q&A, great stories and just pure comic genius."
Cleese, of course, is legendary as a co-founder of the Monty Python comedy troupe, writing and performing in the TV series and the films. He's also famed for co-writing and starring in the now-classic 1970s sitcom Fawlty Towers, and he has since gone on to grace the silver screen in movies ranging from James Bond and Harry Potter to Fierce Creatures and A Fish Called Wanda.
"Rick Bronson's House of Comedy is excited to announce this performance, the biggest entertainer to grace our stage," the club says in an online post.
Tickets start at $69.50. Tickets were still available as of this posting, but the initial tickets disappeared quickly, so don't delay. Find more information and get tickets online.
