Elvis and Linda Ronstadt tribute artists are teaming up for this week's show in New West.

“Elvis Presley and Linda Ronstadt” are coming to town.

Jonathan Hicks (aka Johnny Elvis), a 24-year-old Elvis tribute artist, and Shelley Knight, a longtime performer who currently performs as a Linda Ronstadt tribute artist, are teaming up for a show at Rick Bronson’s House of Comedy. It’s on Wednesday, Nov. 22 from 6 to 9 p.m. at 530 Columbia St.

“The show will be a high-energy, fun remake of the Viva Las Vegas show that Elvis had for a long time running in Vegas in the 70s,” Knight said. “The House of Comedy provides a nostalgic feel and magical setting that takes you back to the 70s.”

Knight said folks are welcome to dress in 1970’s attire and dance to the hits of Linda Ronstadt and Elvis.

Hicks said it’s going to be “a rocking show” with a live band. The show includes costumes and the musical artists’ big hits.

“People will walk out happy,” Hicks said. “And even though that we pay tribute to Elvis and Linda Ronstadt, we will throw in a few other songs during the show.”

Hicks said he’s been blessed to work with a lot of great people, including Knight.

“I’m very happy to work with her and happy to call her my friend,” he said. “We’re all excited for the show and we can’t wait to see you come out.”

Knight, a Coquitlam resident, is a local vocalist who has performed throughout the Lower Mainland with various bands for several years. The two friends will be hitting the road next summer with their “Las Vegas” show.

“We just want the evening to bring people together to sing, dance and share memories of the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s music,” she said. “The band is great, and there are a few surprises in store.”

Tickets are $40 and are available online at houseofcomedy.net or at the door. Doors open at 5 p.m. and the show starts at 6 p.m., with drinks and food available.
