Classical music lovers can enjoy another season of first-class chamber music right here in New Westminster.
The Vancouver Chamber Music Society has announced the lineup for its 2023-24 concert series, which includes a Monday matinee series at the Anvil Centre.
The season opening concert, set for Monday, Oct. 16 at 1 p.m., features the NEXUS Chamber Players: pianist Evren Ozel, violinist Stephanie Zyzak and cellist Alexander Hersh.
In November, audiences can enjoy a Nov. 20 concert by cellist Nathan Chan and the Vancouver Cello Quartet (Lee Duckles, Luke Kim, Cristian Markos and Kevin Park).
The new year will bring the Vancouver Academy of Music Chamber Players in Bizarre Love Triangle on Jan. 29; the Vancouver Academy of Music Chamber Players with Paris in Spring on April 8; and the New Orford String Quartet on May 13.
All concerts are set for Monday afternoons at 1 p.m. at the Anvil Theatre, 777 Columbia St.
The Vancouver Chamber Music Society also offers concerts series in Vancouver, Coquitlam, Chilliwack, Delta and the North Shore. The group has a mission to "enrich cultural lives, inspire communities and advance public appreciation for classical music through the richness and diversity of chamber music performed at the highest level of artistic excellence."
