Is there a young person in your house who just can't stop singing? Vivo Children's Choir in New Westminster is welcoming new members for its 2013/14 season.

The choir offers a place for children in Grade 2 and up to sing together and develop their vocal skills.

The choir has three levels: Animoso, introducing children in grades 2 and 3 to the basics of tuning, vocal tone and phrasing; Bravura, for grades 4 and 5, which builds on those skills and introduces two- and three-part singing; and Concento, for grades 6 and above, which advances singers still further and includes multi-part work and singing in foreign languages.

The choir offers regular performances for the young singers to showcase their skills - last year's spring concert involved a joint performance with the Langley Children's Choir at Holy Trinity Cathedral.

The choir practises on Wednesday afternoons at Olivet Baptist Church,  613 Queens Ave. in New Westminster. The new season starts Sept. 11.

No auditions are required, and all children are encouraged to take part.
