Since 1994, the Watoto Children’s Choirs have been touring the world with a message of hope for Africa’s orphans and widows.
The choir is coming to New Westminster in July with a new production, Signs and Wonders, that celebrates the joy of salvation.
The choir, which is made up of orphans and other vulnerable children, will present new worship music from Watoto Church in Uganda.
“This production is going to challenge preconceived ideas about miracles,” said James Skinner, creative director of Watoto Choirs, in a press release. “It demonstrates that each of our daily lives are signs and wonders of God’s work in us.”
The young singers share stories of how their lives have been changed and how they have been called into a life of purpose to transform their communities.
Signs and Wonders will be presented at Connaught Heights Pentecostal Church, 2201 Eighth Ave., on Saturday, July 8. Concert time is 6 p.m.
