Fall is in full swing, making it the perfect time to head indoors and stay warm and dry.

On this Remembrance Day long weekend, we have a few entertainment options, a sale where you're bound to find some unique offerings, a theatrical production, and, of course, a Remembrance Day ceremony.

We're continuing with our popular feature, The Record's Top 5 (or More) Things to Do This Weekend and offer the following suggestions for Nov. 8 to 11.

1. Hear some amazing guitarists from around the world when International Guitar Night takes to the stage at Massey Theatre. Guitarists Brian Gore from the United States will be joined by, Mike Dawes (England), Pino Forastiere (Italy) and Quique Sinesi (Argentina) on Friday, Nov. 8 at 7:30 p.m. For tickets, call 604-521-5050 or visit www.masseytheatre.com. For more information, visit www.internationalguitarnight.com.

2. Check out the unique offerings at the Curious Flea Market at River Market, which features a variety of vendors selling goods such as antique and mid-century items, 50s kitsch, upcycled furniture and more. Curious Flea takes place on Saturday, Nov. 9 from 10 a.m. to 5 pm. and Sunday, Nov. 10 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. River Market is located at 810 Quayside Dr. See rivermarket.ca.

3. Remember the sacrifices of veterans and peacekeepers at the Remembrance Day ceremony on Monday, Nov. 11. The ceremony begins at the Royal Westminster Regiment Armoury at 530 Queens Ave. at 10 a.m., followed by a parade to the cenotaph in front of city hall for the wreath-laying ceremony and two minutes of silence at 11 a.m.

People are reminded to arrive by 9:30 a.m. as the doors close at 9:45 a.m. If you're late or the Armoury is at capacity, you can head across the street to Queens Avenue United Church (529 Queens Ave.) and watch the proceedings via a live feed.

4. Savour a performance by the New Westminster Symphony Orchestra, which performs at Massey Theatre on Sunday, Nov. 10 at 2 p.m. Admission is by donation. Massey Theatre is located at 735 Eighth Ave.  For more information, visit www.nwso.ca.

5. Enjoy a night out at the Laura C. Muir Performing Arts Theatre, where Douglas College students are performing A MacBeth, Charles Marowitz's retooled version of the Shakespearean classic. Tickets are $8 to $12 and are available through the Massey ticket centre at 604-521-5050. The play, which takes place at 700 Royal Ave., runs until Nov. 16.
