Douglas College gets new associate VP of student affairs

Douglas College has landed one of SFU’s top dogs as its new associate vice president of academic and student affairs. Sarah Dench will join the college’s administration on Sept.

Douglas College has landed one of SFU’s top dogs as its new associate vice president of academic and student affairs.

Sarah Dench will join the college’s administration on Sept. 1 and is currently the executive director of SFU International and was once the university’s director of student academic affairs.

“We are excited to have someone of Sarah’s caliber join the College’s administration, said Thor Borgford, vice president academic and provost. “Her knowledge and experience supports Douglas College’s student-centered strategic plan of being the most relevant and inspiring undergraduate experience in B.C.”

Dench has also previously served as SFU’s director of university curriculum and institutional liaison, where she was involved in creating SFU’s present curriculum requirements.
