About 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 9, police received a call from someone saying their friend had been assaulted. The witness said that as his friend was driving down 20th Street near Eighth Avenue, where they both witnessed the driver of a black Mercedes C300 driving erratically and cutting off numerous vehicles.
“The driver of the Mercedes then blocked both lanes of traffic, exited his vehicle, and punched his friend in the face,” said a NWPD press release.
Police aren’t aware of any interaction between the drivers prior to the assault, but note there is no acceptable reason to exit a vehicle and assault another driver.
