Here’s a party to celebrate the movie franchise that made you want cool gadgets, fast cars and drinks shaken not stirred. We are talking about Bond... James Bond.
Sea2Sky Wellness Club, a local studio for hot yoga, fitness, breath work and more, is marking its grand opening in New West with a party themed around the popular box-office hit movie series.
Whether a James Bond fan or not, the event is the perfect occasion to sport that expensive tuxedo or black cocktail dress and get together with a group that likes to balance fun and fitness, said Oxana Kirsanova, founder of the studio.
Show up at the downtown studio at 6 p.m., and spend the next four hours grooving to popular hits from a wide range of James Bond movies — like Billie Eilish’s No Time to Die or Adele’s Skyfall.
At the event, participants can nosh on charcuterie-style food and sip on martinis — all while debating on who is the best James Bond of all. Was it Pierce Brosnan, Sean Connery, Daniel Craig or others?
And if you are someone who takes pride in being able to cite popular Bond phrases, all the 25 Bond movies and the many Aston Martins featured in them — sign up for a Bond trivia quiz for a chance to win a free three-month membership worth $369 at the studio.
With two more days to go, the space, which includes rooms for biking, aerial yoga and hot and cold plunges, is slowly transforming into a party spot with live piano music, said Kirsanova.
But why is a wellness studio going for a Bond-style party?
“We like it classy,” she said — a style that the British secret agent is best known for.
The $55 ticket to the event on Saturday, May 13, at Sea2Sky Wellness Club, 428 Columbia St., will also include door prizes. For more information, visit Sea2Sky Wellness Club’s Instagram page.
