Thousands from across Metro Vancouver are expected to attend the "world's largest" mental health and addiction recovery street festival in New Westminster this weekend.
The Recovery Day BC Festival returns tomorrow, Sept. 7, from noon to 5 p.m. along 6th Street between Fifth and Sixth avenues. The main performance stage is located at 6th and Sixth.
The 12th annual free family-friendly fair, according to organizers, celebrates and raise awareness "that recovery from addiction is possible, attainable and sustainable."
More than 150 community booths will be set up on 6th Street featuring local businesses and nonprofits, as well as food vendors, artisans and activities for all ages.
Musical acts for Recovery Day BC 2024 include (as listed by the festival):

- A Night of Bowie
- Dr Strangelove
- DJ Chloe
- Cake Walk
