New Westminster is home to the second cheapest price for gas in Metro Vancouver ahead of New Year's celebrations.
Local motorists can fill up their vehicle's tank for $1.69 per litre at a pair of fuel stops: the Centex and GOMarket on Ewen Avenue and Chevron on E 8th Avenue (see list below).
GasBuddy.com's latest report indicates $1.68 per litre is the most affordable price for gas in the region.
The average price for New West currently sits at $1.74 per litre, as of this publication, Dec. 31.
Across B.C., the least expensive fuel belongs to those that call the province's northern capital home.
Prince George's Pacific Street Husky is offering $1.44 per litre — 25 cents less than New West's cheapest available.
However, there is one station within a reasonable driving distance that's selling gas for less than $1.50 per litre.
The Save and Gas in Hatzic along Farms Road has posted a price of $1.49 per litre, roughly 70 km east of New Westminster.
