Temperatures are cooling down, and so are New Westminster gas prices.
While the cheapest available fuel jumped by a single cent, the rest of the local pumps dropped by as much as eight cents in the last week.
Six stations in the city are offering $1.76 per litre, according to GasBuddy.com's latest report today, Nov. 24.
The Esso and 7-Eleven on 6th Street took the biggest dive — $1.76 per litre from $1.84, which was the most expensive tag last Friday, Nov. 24.
The average price for fuel in New West sits at $1.77 per litre, which is a drop of four cents from $1.81 per litre, and a return to the same median from two weeks earlier.
Remarkably, there's one station in all of B.C. that's currently selling gas for less than $1.50 per litre.
Nanaimo's Super Save Gas is selling fuel for $1.49 per litre, retaining its title as the lest expensive outlet in the province for a consecutive week.
The most affordable gasoline within driving distance of New Westminster is roughly 85 km out east on Highway 1.
The Centex and GOMarket off Lickman Road exit in Chilliwack has posted a price of $1.54 per litre.
