Gas price hikes on the Friday before a long weekend likely has New Westminster motorists experiencing déjà vu.
GasBuddy.com's latest report shows the cheapest price in the city set at $1.68 per litre at Chevron along Brunette Avenue ahead of the Family Day weekend in B.C. (see list below).
That's an uptick of three cents compared to $1.65 per litre last Friday, Feb. 9. However, the outlet's price itself is a weekly dip of two cents from $1.70.
It's also the fourth least expensive price for fuel in Metro Vancouver, four cents behind $1.64 per litre at three different stops in Pitt Meadows, Langley and Aldergrove, as of this publication, Feb. 16.
New Westminster's average sits at $1.72 per litre — a dip of three cents from $1.69 per litre last week.
Prince George, meanwhile, hosts B.C.'s top three cheapest gas stations at the moment.
GasBuddy.com says the $1.44 per litre price tag remains unchanged from last week at Super Save Gas on Victoria Street.
The other two most affordable outlets in the northern city are offering $1.46 per litre.
