New Westminster motorists are getting an even bigger break at the pumps this weekend.
GasBuddy.com's latest report shows decreases as much as five cents across the city with $1.74 per litre as the cheapest available (see list below), as of this publication, Aug. 16.
That number is located at the Centex and Fetch Panda on Ewen Avenue — a dip of five cents from $1.79 per litre last Friday, Aug. 9.
It's also the seventh least expensive price for fuel in Metro Vancouver, nine cents behind $1.65 per litre at the Boundary Road Chevron in Burnaby.
All New West stations have posted a price of less than $1.80 per litre. The average is $1.76 per litre, which is a weekly drop of four cents.
Meanwhile, five of B.C.'s cheapest outlets are within driving distance of New Westminster.
And two of which are offering gas for less than $1.60 per litre, according to GasBuddy.com.
The Fraser Highway Petro-Canada and CO-OP in Abbotsford have both posted a price of $1.58 per litre — located less than 50 km east of New West.

- 175.9/L @ Shell (5 W 8th Ave.)
- 176.9/L @ Petro-Canada (132 12th St.)
- 176.9/L @ Esso and 7-Eleven (780 6th St.)
- 176.9/L @ Chevron (428 Sixth St.)
- 176.9/L @ Chevron and On The Run (465 Brunette Ave.)
