As we head towards the 2024 provincial election, declarations of candidates by B.C. political parties have picked up in recent weeks.
Candidate nominations officially close on Sept. 28 at 1 p.m.
The Record published declared candidates for BC United on Wednesday, July 24 and the BC NDP on Thursday, July 25.
The BC Conservatives have declared candidates in all three New Westminster ridings, as of this publication, July 26, for the 2024 election.
Should candidates change, we will update this story.
Richmond-Queensborough
Steve Kooner has owned his law firm, Steve Kooner Law Corporation, for more than 17 years, according to his biography on the party website.
He was announced as the BC Conservative's Richmond-Queensborough candidate on April 13.
Kooner received a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Political Science, from Simon Fraser University.
He also holds a Juris Doctor law degree from the University of Calgary.
In 2023, he was awarded the Queen's Platinum Jubilee Award by the Government of Canada. Kooner was also named a Community Ambassador for the Surrey Eagles of the BCHL.
"Steve has a passion to continue serving the community to make a difference," the party's website states.

New Westminster-Coquitlam
Ndellie Mwanangulu-Massey was announced as the BC Conservative's New Westminster-Coquitlam candidate.
She has worked in the public and private sectors including managing government projects in South Africa and consulting for Revenu Quebec, as well as leading initiatives at BC Hydro.
The party website says she has been in charge of managing project with budgets ranging from a few hundred thousand dollars to more than $50 million.
"As a small business owner, Ndellie understands the importance of fiscal responsibility and efficient service delivery, values she aims to bring to government if elected," her biography says.
Mwanangulu-Massey's platform says there is a need for a fiscally responsible government that prioritizes "efficient service delivery, removes government overreach and restores home to British Columbians."

Burnaby-New Westminster
Deepak Suri was announced as the BC Conservative candidate on Dec. 27, 2023.
According to his biography on the BC Conservative website, Suri holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Delhi. He started his career in the finance industry in Kuwait before moving to the auto industry.
Suri immigrated to Canada in 1999.
He has also been involved in the media industry as a radio host and part-owner of a station named AM Band station.
Suri and his wife also own three Indian cuisine restaurants in Burnaby and Vancouver.
"Fueled by a dedication to service and an unwavering belief in progressive values, Deepak aims to enhance the Conservative Party's platform through transformative initiatives," the party's website says.
"His diverse expertise and steadfast commitment position him as a dynamic force for positive change, aligning the party with the evolving needs of the constituents."
