Numerous New Westminster athletes, coaches and officials have new hardware to hang at home after successful BC Summer Games performances.
The 33rd version of the biannual games was held in Maple Ridge from July 17 to 21 and featured 22 different sports.
New West athletes brought home three gold medals in individual events, three silver and one bronze.
Team events involving New West athletes saw six gold medals, three silver and one bronze.
Gold medalists included:
- Yael Wagner Strasser - Equestrian, mixed dressage (Day 3)
- Ethan Ochoco - Boys wrestling, 57 kg weight class
- Illia Anoshyn - Boys wrestling, 70 kg weight class
- Nathan Sall - Boys soccer
- Dylan Jones - Boys volleyball
- Brienne Lu - Girls volleyball
- Illia Anoshyn - Wrestling, mixed team
- Illia Anoshyn - Wrestling, mixed dual
- Gavin Domaas - Field lacrosse (mixed team)
- Brodie Anderson - Field lacrosse (mixed team)
- Jett Abel - Field lacrosse (mixed team)
Silver medalists included:
