Nisa Reehal is leaving the pitch a champion — again.
The New Westminster athlete's six-year collegiate career with UBC women's soccer came to a celebratory end last weekend in helping the Thunderbirds claim a second consecutive championship at Canada's highest level of university sports.
Reehal registered one shot in the title game on Sunday, Nov. 10, and kept the T-Birds' offense in control for the full 90 minutes, leading to a 1-0 win over Laval for the U SPORTS national title.

The New Westminster Secondary grad recorded one assist in three games at the tournament at Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia.
"What a special group," said Thunderbirds head coach Jesse Symons in a team statement.
"They bought in from the very first game of preseason, and they just know how to win […] it's an amazing group."
Reehal tallied five goals and nine points in 14 Canada West regular season matches — tied for the fourth-most on UBC's roster.
She won three U SPORTS banners with UBC, including in her 2019 first-year campaign.
That season, Reehal scored three goals to earn a spot on the Canada West conference women's soccer all-rookie team.
Reehal combined for 25 goals, 14 assists, 102 shots on goal and more than 5,900 minutes played in 93 career matches with UBC.
