Fridays on Front

It's your last chance to go out to the Front Street Mews and ring in the weekend with a full-blown street party.

Fridays on Front, which brought six themed parties to downtown since the beginning of July this summer, is wrapping up with one final gala that's themed the Last Act.

The event will feature live performances and a host of food trucks including Dos Amigos, Origins Chocolate Bar and more. It’s free for all to attend.

Aug. 26

Farewell to Summer Fireworks and Festival

This weekend will be a beautiful reminder that summer will soon give way to the season of cardigans and high-neck jumpers.

The Hyack Festival Association will be organizing its annual Farewell to Summer Fireworks and Festival with a full-day of fun that ends with a fireworks show.

Spend your Saturday browsing the artisan market, exhibitors, food vendors by the waterfront before gearing up for the fireworks at 9 p.m.

Food of the Fraser

Besides serving an excellent backdrop for photos and waterfront fun activities, the mighty Fraser, more importantly, makes growing food possible in the Fraser Valley.

Learn about the fertile lands and the fabulous foods that are grown in the Fraser Valley, and explore one of many First Nations' fish preservation methods at a guided demonstration at the Fraser River Discovery Centre.

Circus Day

Vancouver Circus School, which has educated over 14,000 students from the lower mainland on circus arts, is offering bite-sized lessons on juggling and tumbling for free this Sunday.

This is your chance to stop wondering how circus artists walk on stilts or a rope and learn to do it yourself from the pros.
