Re: City fights to keep the 'Borough, The Record, Aug. 29.
I don't understand. How is the city losing Queensborough? It will still be part of New Westminster. Will New West lose transfer payments, or what is the issue?
Is this more about our New Democrat councillors crying the blues because one of our NDP MPs, Peter Julian, may lose some votes and the other, Fin Donnelly, will no longer represent New West?
Is this about our NDP council supporting MPs, as was done by the MPs supporting councillors during the last election? One big happy family scratching each others' backs.
Let's ask Queensborough what they want before council dictates its political agenda.
This council is turning into a dictatorship.
