Re: City moves ahead with centre plan, The Record, July 18.
Before council gets their way with our tax dollars for a civic centre office tower, (which few companies will lease due to the city's fair wage policy,) and a pedestrian walkway to and from Queensborough, I'd like to see two things happen: repave Simpson Street, which was torn apart three years ago for services to the brewery district, and put some cigarette butt receptacles on the streets so the litterbugs have somewhere to put their garbage.
These are projects a civic council should be focusing on.
