Here's why I'm supporting thousands of climate strikers and marchers in streets across the country this September.
More than 75 per cent of respondents in a recent national poll said they are concerned about climate change; 81 per cent of those with kids under 18 felt climate change will harm their families; and 40 per cent of youth respondents said they were unable to stop thinking about future climate change.
That’s not healthy. Our kids and future generations deserve better than passive acceptance of the falsehood that we have no alternatives to our fossil fuel-powered economy and jobs. Elected leaders and corporate CEOs need to act on the voices of those in the streets and all of those who want to be there but can't: end fossil fuels — fast, fair, and forever.
