The sound of train whistles in New Westminster bring me comfort.
Sometimes it seems they ring in the key of D, or C or maybe E-flat - still music to my soul. The whistles are the echoes of history; they signal stability for our country.
For if there were no whistle sounds, it would mean more trouble for all of us.
I rest peacefully to those sounds, knowing the sacrifices made to build the rails and run the trains, the backbone which helped to make Canada the great country it is today.
