Editor:
Rising prices have greatly affected our "normal" life.
Groceries, cleaning supplies and toiletries are needed to live a safe and healthy life. Unfortunately, the food with the most nutrients — fruit, veg, fish — have very high prices, and this is what we need to stay healthy.
Seniors such as ourselves also require regular prescriptions to contain and curtail illnesses. In a few cases these are required to live. In addition, property taxes and condo insurance are at all-time highs. These make it very difficult to survive on limited pensions, with few senior benefits, after working for years to contribute to the Canadian economy/community.
