Letter: Two-tier health care would only benefit rich Canadians

Sticking the rest of us with the chronically underfunded public system isn't the answer, this writer says.

Two-tier health care would only benefit the wealthiest Canadians, this writer says.

Editor:

If the richest Canadians who make their money in Canada or in international finance would pay their income taxes instead of hiding their wealth in offshore tax havens, and the federal government would increase its payments to the provinces, then we could easily have a world-class medical system for all Canadians.

A two-tier system would benefit the wealthiest Canadians, and the rest of us will be left to struggle with the chronically underfunded public system we have now.
