The city has done its part — now it's up to residents, this writer says.

A participant tries out Vancouver Circus School activities during an Outside/In street fair at Hyack Square earlier this year. This letter writer says the city has done its part to support fun in the city — now it's up to residents to "just do it."

Re: Letters: 'Utterly boring' — New West residents want more fun

This endeavour doesn’t just happen, and it will take a lot of money to support “happy."

The city has done its part through Anvil Centre, Massey Theatre, private and public art galleries and lots of public park spaces. I think the true issue here is: now it is up to the members of the public to “just do it."

By the way, Nelson is a poor choice of example because they are isolated from other main centres for most of the year; the Lower Mainland is not.
