The Downtown New Westminster Business Improvement Association has put its promotional machine into overdrive lately.
The BIA is a good source of information about what businesses are reopening with new protocols during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The latest update was about Burger Heaven reopening on Monday for sit-down meal service until 9 p.m. each day. “It’s a first come, first serve basis with a 45 min max time,” read the BIA’s tweet. You can also still order for takeout if you’d like.
This is, of course, amazing news for burger lovers because Burger Heaven is one of Metro Vancouver’s best burger joints and a New Westminster institution. Burger Heaven is known for its food, as well as its regular ‘burger polls’ during elections.
I’m a huge fan of their Greek God Burger and a few other choice items, including the Perogy Burger.
Good news, burger lovers: @BurgerHeavenNW is open for dine-in starting today until 9pm! It's a first come, first serve basis with a 45 min max time. Delivery via SkipTheDishes and takeout are also available. https://t.co/BM2udcicRs #newwest #downtownnewwest pic.twitter.com/lrP9hqUbij

There’s something about sitting down for a big, fresh burger that makes the stress of the day just drift away for a few minutes.
It is indeed a stressful time, for citizens and business owners. If you feel you are ready for a sit-down meal, this is a good place to start.
