Dear Editor:
I'm a huge supporter of our senior Salmonbellies, and I'm at a loss for words as to what happened this year.
My husband and I and a few close friends and neighbours all have season tickets and come out to the games year after year to cheer on our favorite team.
The firing of Bob Salt and the start of a fresh, new coaching perspective that would give the 'Bellies an edge to bring home the Mann Cup this year didn't even get off the ground.
In fact, from this fan's perspective, our team played one of the most inconsistent years in recent history.
Our 'Bellies are extremely talented players and have been a winning team in the Western League year after year, making it to the Mann Cup finals.
So it was baffling to watch our 'Bellies struggle game after game in the playoffs against Maple Ridge and Langley. Something's wrong with this picture, and serious questions need to be raised about the new coaching style.
What has this done to raise the bar? Not much at all from where I sit.
