Art in the Library, with photographs and paintings on display in two exhibits at the New Westminster Public Library. in the reference department, Nina Shenton presents Explorations, a show of landscapes and portraits in watercolour, oil and acrylic; and On the Ramp, Philip Lanyon is displaying a series of photographs of Vancouver and B.C. that expresses the convergence of the technical photograph with living organic space and time. The art can be viewed at any time during library hours at 716 Sixth Ave.

Exhibit is on the second floor of The River Market, 810 Quayside Dr. Opening reception from 6: 30 to 8: 30 p.m. Exhibits on display during market hours all weekend. All paintings are $100 and all photographs are $50. A secondary exhibition called Visual Verse, in which 40 poems have been interpreted visually, will run from May 4 until May 31 at www.thenetworkhub.ca, also on the second floor of the River Market.
