Day of the Dead dance party

St. Barnabas Church is having a family dance party for The Day of the Dead, featuring snacks and non-alcoholic drinks, door prizes, a silent auction, a dance and live music from The Syndicate.

Children’s Hospital fundraiser

Press Start Video Games is raising funds for BC Children’s Hospital through a bake and craft sale. It’s part of the store’s efforts to raise money for the hospital through the upcoming Extra Life fundraising program of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

Halloween pawty charity fundraiser

BE Pawtique is having a Halloween pawty at its indoor dog park. It features pawty games, a pet costume competition, a dog walk show and a chance to in prizes.

  • Where: 610 Columbia St.
  • Details: The net profit of the event will be donated to BC SPCA. The entrance fee is $10 per dog, which includes two drinks and one treat bag.

Dog Man: The Musical

Dog Man: The Musical, described as “a hilarious” production, is based on the worldwide bestselling series from Dav Pilkey, the creator of Captain Underpants and Cat Kid Comic Club.

Halloween on the River

Fraser River Discovery Centre is extending its Super Saturdays programming to include Sunday — all in honour of Halloween. The weekend’s activities include getting “microscopic” with mold as you dive into decomposition, taking a photo at the costume selfie stations and comparing costumes with George the Sturgeon.
