Musical theatre lovers still have a few more chances to experience the magic of Rodgers and Hammerstein.

Patrick Street Productions' Out of a Dream, a Rodgers and Hammerstein revue, is onstage at the York Theatre on Commercial Drive until Feb. 16.

The New Westminster-based theatre company has partnered with Federico's Supper Club to offer special dinner-and-theatre packages - with an extra-special version lined up for Valentine's Day.

Peter Jorgensen, co-artistic producer of the company and creator of the revue, said the Broadway duo are unparalleled when it comes to songs about love.

"It's one of their strong suits," Jorgensen said with a smile. "It'll be a really lovely show to take your honey to."

The show stars homegrown talent Sayer Roberts - a rising star from the Royal City who earned an Ovation Award for his work in Royal City Musical Theatre's Oklahoma! last year. He appears alongside Kazumi Evans, Kaylee Harwood, Caitriona Murphy and Warren Kimmel.

The revue includes songs from all 11 shows written by the prolific Broadway duo, including familiar hits such as Oh, What a Beautiful Morning, If I Loved You and Younger than Springtime - and some lesser-known numbers.

It's onstage at the York Theatre (Commercial Drive at Georgia) at 8 p.m. Feb. 12, 13, 14 and 15, with 2 p.m. matinees on Feb. 15 and 16.

Tickets start at $19, and a special two-show price of $60 is available for those who want to see both Out of a Dream and Patrick Street's Floyd Collins, coming up in March.
