Library book club, which is reading Behind the Scene sat the Museum by Kate Atkinson and will discuss it at 7 p.m. Copies of the book can be borrowed from the library at 716 Sixth Ave. Please pre-register at 604-527-4667.

Introduction to Batik Making, workshop for children aged nine to 12, two-part workshop on Jan. 24 and 31. Participants must attend both sessions, 3:30 to 5 p.m. Pre-registration required: 604-527-4667. A display of batik is on display in the library's ramp gallery until Jan. 30.
